15 BATH SALT RECIPES TO RELAX AWAY STRESS

បានប្រកាសនៅ Beauty & Health នៅSeptember 09 2019 at 03:17 PM

Soaking in the tub works on many levels. Your body and mind both have time to relax–something we all need during busy times of year. Your skin benefits from the extra hydration, essential when cold weather hits. So you’ll understand why we’re such big bath advocates. But how do you take your soak to the next level? With bath salts, of course! Here are 15 bath salt recipes to try for detox, healing, or just plain pleasure:

WHAT KIND OF SALT SHOULD I USE?

Epsom Salt

Epsom salt baths have tons of benefits. This not-really-a-salt salt is a great source of magnesium, a mineral that lots of people could use more of. Soaking in salt water is an easy way for it to absorb into the skin.

Himalayan Pink Salt

Himalayan pink salt does more than look pretty! A pink salt bath soak helps replenish trace elements and minerals and brings anti-inflammatory relief to skin irritations. A word of caution though: pink salt takes longer to dissolve in warm water and doesn’t feel great to sit on. After you pour in the salt, wait a few minutes before easing into your bath.

Dead Sea Salt

A soak with Dead Sea salt can help replenish 21 minerals that relax the body and soften the skin. The sulfur in Dead Sea salt is natural disinfectant that can treat skin conditions like acne and eczema.

SHOULD I ADD ESSENTIAL OILS?

We suggest caution in using essential oils in the bath. No need to stress though if you stick with oils that won’t irritate the skin (think like lavenderchamomilegeraniumsweet orange or atlas cedarwood) and dilute in a carrier oil before adding to your salt recipe. You can also add in dried herb options like lavendercalendulalemon balm and eucalyptus leaves.
