    WoW Classic Character Cloning Service The Service is Shutting Down July 26
    Blizzard will shut down World of Warcraft Classic's character Clone service on the 26th of July after just a little more than an entire year of being available.
    The paid-for service lets players make a copy of a WoW Classic character that they like based on the "snapshot" of the character's current state on May 18. 2021. All players were given the option of choosing their character on a per basis prior to the launch of Burning Crusade Classic last summer of whether or no to keep that character on the realm that Blizzard today calls "Classic Era" realms or progress toward Burning Crusade. If players couldn't decide for cloning, let them to do both for a low cost.
    Blizzard hasn't provided the specific reason behind why the service will be shut down on its official blog however character cloning will be available for $5 (66 percent off) until July 26. If players haven't yet made an informed decision for their characters regarding whether to move to Burning Crusade Classic or stay in the Classic Era realm by July 26. Blizzard declares that all characters will be transferred to Burning Crusade Classic, with the Classic Era version of those characters being deleted.

After listening to player feedback, Blizzard cut the price of the service by more than half, to $15.
